I had the opportunity to work with some very knowledgeable and caring doctors from both Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. I worked very closely with the doctors assisting them with history taking, compiling charts while learning how to diagnose correctly. Also, we did our in-house X-rays and read them on site. That is where I learned how to use an X-Ray and other imaging modalities, as diagnostic tools. I saw a variety of patients from an uncomplicated pharyngitis to more complicated cases like Diverticulitis and even strokes. During this experience, I was able to improve my history taking skills and learned how to develop a better rapport with the patients.
