• Regularly visit Logan City Council sites (e.g., waste management & recycling, chemical stock take, community hall etc.) and prepare safety inspection reports• Hazard and fire safety inspection, first aid kit inspection, populating chemical register, preparing action plan for workers’ compensation• Populate various databases and registers and provide information and data as required to ensure legislative compliance with all WHS reporting and recording requirements• Generate workplace safety inspection reports and ensuring that relevant WHS registers and records are maintained• Assist in the scheduling and distribution of tasks for maintenance and preventative maintenance of facilities required for WHS legislations.• Participate as required in the investigation of hazards, incidents, injuries or near misses and then liaise with the appropriate people to take corrective action appropriate to the situation with reference to the assessed risk• Provide or seek WHS advice in response to queries and requests from employees, contractors and visitors as appropriate.• Attend scheduled WHS Committee Meetings (offsite).
