Portfolio included front-end product discovery experience and backend product information systems (pricing, availability, images, and attributes) which was the core product system for the end-to-end bespoke ecommerce system. Aligned Product vision and strategy to that of Takealot. Managed roadmap and backlogs for two engineering teams. Identified opportunities with stakeholders, developers and customer insight. Developed business cases for new initiatives, product definition documents for prioritised initiatives, broken down into epics and user stories for the engineering teams to execute from their backlog. Delivery through Scrum, part Scrum master, testing, then UAT with stakeholders. Led architectural design sessions. Trained users and created training material for back-office tools. TMT is an ITS solution provider in Africa and develops in-house speed and red-light camera solutions. Initially hired as Development Engineer, later Head of Products and Engineering. As Development Engineer, developed an integrated vehicle tracking radar unit called iControl, used for traffic control at intersections or traffic data collection. User Interface Development (Swing, J2EE); Server/Firmware Development (Java, J2EE and C++); Bash/Shell Script Development for housekeeping on device which runs embedded Linux; Performance Analysis using scripting tools (Perl and Bash Scripts, Matlab, Excel); and Customer Application Engineering.
