It's always refreshing to know someone by reputation first, and then have the ability to verify it yourself. In Hansen's case, we worked on different teams at Hoover's, where I heard great things about his excellent rapport with customers, and his uncanny ability to kill his quota while being kind and generous in the process. As an acquisition salesperson, you wanted your accounts to be assigned to Hansen as account manager. Now, I have the good fortune of working with him at BuildFax, where I've not only verified what I hoped to be true, I've added accolades to the list. He studies his customers, deeply understands their needs, and never appears "salesy". He has a natural gift for project management, because he has the vision to see a project from start to finish, and he takes the time and effort to analyze the nuances of a challenge that make it unique. Add to it that Hansen does it all with wit and integrity, and it's clear that he's the person you want on your team.

I managed Hansen for just over a year during my time in the SMB group at Hoover's. I found him to be a sales rep with great work ethic and fantastic organizational skills. He stayed on top of his client list and did a very good job of managing his workload. He excelled at upgrading clients to new levels of service. He was also very good at getting clients to renew early and for multiple years of service. Hansen has excellent business acumen and he builds rapport very easily with a broad range of personalities.
