      As a senior project manager at Sioux I did and still do manage a large variety of in-house technical development and engineering projects. The content of these technical projects is always a combination of a set of technical disciplines like: mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, mathware, software and firmware.       In the internet of things the Hue connected lighting product portfolio play's an important role. Since the amount of customers purchasing Hue equipment is increasing enormously it is key that existing and new customers have relevant information at hand to understand what Hue Lighting is all about and what you can do with it. An online direct sales channel is also available at a low threshold, so equipment can easily be purchased. The project that I did execute as integral project manager for Philips Lighting was to create a modern web-site containing all relevant information for consumers. During the consumers customer journey via the web-site, opportunities were given to make purchases. Direct sales channel has been setup for a number of countries so Philips is able to sell directly to the consumers and keep the pricing low while purchase is directly sent to the consumers home address. Countries might be extended in the meanwhile since one of the project deliveries is a blue-print to extend the concept to global.
