City Awake empowers the next generation of leaders to engage in conversations around the most pressing issues facing the region. Through City Awake, young professionals across the community connect with peers from across sectors and also have the opportunity to meet with and learn from prominent leaders throughout Greater Boston. One of the most notable events that City Awake hosts is the Fierce Urgency of Now festival which convenes thousands of attendees throughout the 45+ decentralized events. In partnership with organizations around the state, I lead programming during this five-day festival which focuses on rewriting the narrative of Boston and making it a more inclusive city for all. Additionally, I help our Programs Department execute a portfolio of 50+ events throughout the year.
