JUCY has grown significantly over the last 10+ years and has recently embarked upon protecting the culture that has been the key to our success thus far. People have been our differentiator for a long time and currently I am tasked with ‘re-branding’ the People Function at JUCY. We began with Project JUCY 2017 - where we reimagined what the JUCY world would look like in 5 years time. This process involved engaging a selection of key stakeholders from across the organisation and on boarding them into the change project with a series of workshops. Across these workshops we ultimately designed a plan to realign our business and people goals to create a culture where all JUCY crew members understood the vision and values of the JUCY group. We used these new values and vision to redesign new recruitment, training and performance processes but also to underpin key decisions made my senior leaders and the board. The plan execution fell within the realm of the Culture Queen and it involved an international roadshow where the plan was bought to life to all members of the JUCY world, new internal branding and collateral and a redesign of the intranet and 'people place' online. The PE Dept. has taken over where the term 'HR' went wrong. Humans aren't resources, they are people. The ‘People Experience’ department cultivates culture, people and performance at JUCY. Show less

With the rapid rise and growth of brand JUCY (from NZ Rentals to include Australian and USA Rentals, JUCY Hotels, JUCY Cruize and JUCY Travel!), the need arose for the Reservations Team to morph into the Contact Centre for the JUCY Group. The Contact Centre was the central touchpoint for all customers of the JUCY Group, from the first call when booking a JUCY product, to amending bookings, adding new JUCY products, to assisting customers on the road and post journey. This role further enhanced my people management skills, I was soley responsible for recruiting, inducting, training, developing and mentoring the Team. The role in a nutshell:- Enthusiastically led and inspired the Contact Centre for JUCY World which handled all reservations and sales (and then some!) for JUCY New Zealand, JUCY Australia, JUCY USA, JUCY Hotel and JUCY Cruize- Day to Day Leadership of 14 staff – including recruitment, performance management, motivating and inspiring my team members to reach daily sales targets. - Strategically lead the inbound call centre which averaged 1000's of calls, emails and instant messages per day - Total sales to reach $40million+ (2012)- Reported directly to CEO as a member of the Senior Management Team- Successfully project managed Telco and Telephony tender and upgrade for Head Office 2012 Show less

In this role I took the plunge headfirst into leading a Team (Reservations and Sales Reps) and the National Sales Distribution for JUCY. The role was challenging, diverse and a lot of FUN!I was exposed to the day to day inner workings of JUCY HQ including Marketing, Operations, Yield Management and Finance. I cut my teeth here. This role strengthened my people leadership skills and expanded my knowledge of the wider Tourism Industry through experiences such as the Australian Tourism Exchange, the World Travel Market and Sales Trips to visit Agents in Europe.- Led the New Zealand Sales and Reservations team for JUCY New Zealand and Australia- Day to day running of the reservations team of 8 staff; recruitment, discipline, motivating and inspiring my team members to reach daily sales targets- Managed two part time North and South Island Sales Reps who looked after a pool of 40 key retail accounts in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown- Account Managed existing Wholesalers and built relationships with new (attended Australian Tourism Exchange - ATE in June 2009)- Distributed sales bulletins and marketing collateral to all booking agencies, I was the direct point of contact for Agencies booking New Zealand product- Oversaw online business i.e. Web brokers (international), GDS and JUCY website direct online bookings through reservations- Provided CEO with sales plans for each distribution channel and achieved growth across all channels – grew a small account into a Key Account, achieving growth of $850K in less than 12 months- Secured new wholesale and online business when visiting Europe to meet with French and UK market prospects Show less
