With the help of my mentor, Dr. Connie Mixon, I am exploring the link between environmental injustices and COVID-19 rates within the metropolitan regions of Chicago and Milwaukee. Learning more about systematic racism through segregation has allowed me to engage in more conversation around race while also helping me gain a deeper passion for environmental justice.
