When finishing my first year in university, I worked over summer for the NHS COVID Vaccination Line. This role allowed me to gain great experience in communication skills, problem solving and team work. Our Covid Vaccination Line staff adapted quickly and effectively in response to the pandemic, giving advice and guidance to the public. Hirestreet is an online clothing website that hires out expensive high-end dresses for a much lower price than on the market, as they rent the dresses out, not sell them. This means the buyer goes online, finds their perfect dress for their event, wears it once, and returns it. There is so many positives in this, firstly: its stopping buying clothes and wearing it once, it is basically recycling! Returning the clothes to the website means money will always be coming through from one outfit if it is always getting rented. The buyers, however, can rent the dress of their choice for more than a quarter of the price, instead of buying it for a big price, and only wearing it once. For the business: · I reached out to influencers to work with the business, and they were very successful! · I used photoshop with my skills I already had, to photoshop the images for the website, to then add on the website when finished, for this I used ‘shopify’. · I used the software called ‘Hotjar’, which tracked what people most visited on the online store. This showed us workers what was most wanted on the website, and what was not doing so well. This also shows if there were any faults on the website, which I then improved. · Used twitter to see if anyone was needing a beautiful dress for the up-and-coming weekend, then reaching out to promote the business. · Delivering clothing parcels from the office to the post office when needed to be out for the next day. · Adding clothes, prices and amount to the unique SKUS product database
