Creative Marketing & Tender Bid Coordinator

May Gurney, now part of the Kier Group, was a support services company operating throughout the UK with a turnover of over £695m. During my time at the company, I was responsible for coordinating, preparing and producing concise and responsive prequalification and tender bid proposals to the highest standard, predominantly during the AMP5 bidding process. Most notable successes include coordinating the winning quality submissions for tenders such as South West Water's Repair and Maintenance contract, worth a total value £170 million over 10 years. In addition to this, I coordinated the successful quality submissions for two Wessex Water contract awards, valued at £130 million over 10 years as well as a Repair and Maintenance contract for Severn Trent Water valued at £62 million over 10 years. Further to my work on tender submissions during the AMP5 process, my additional responsibilities included pro-actively coordinating and managing all sector PR and Marketing activities, such as the creation and coordination of adverts, journal editorials, award submissions and sector/external newsletters. WaverleyTBS was once the UK's leading independent drinks supplier, providing expertise throughout all drinks sectors. My creative role within the organisation enabled me to think laterally and develop existing creative skills, whilst being responsible for the design and desk top publishing for two major sectors of the business. The role included the management, interpretation and processing of design briefs and trade marketing material requests, from marketing literature such as brochures, newsletters and posters, to adverts and sales tools.
