Bio
Rebecca Ford
I worked closely with Hannah during a particularly difficult time in the Marketing department at that company, and at every stage she calmly, diligently, and quickly dealt with every challenge thrown her way. She liaises effectively with other team members and other departments, and expertly juggles multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time. She's an incredible team player and will never allow anyone to struggle alone when she can help in any way. Hannah is a brilliant addition to any organisation.

Hannah came to the dairy earlier this year as a marketing intern for a number of weeks. We threw her in at the deep end - but she coped admirably. As a small team, we need our interns to work hard and use their brains to get things moving - we don't have the time to 'hand hold' them and Hannah did just that. She worked on a wide variety of projects from social media and PR to proof checking and client liaison. She is a happy, bright and conscientious young lady that we enjoyed having as a part of our team.

Social Media Manager

Lippy Magazine is The University of Leeds' alternative student magazine, for students, run by students. We launched one print edition a semester, but had a continuous stream of new content on the website. My committee position on the magazine was Social Media Manager, which involved managing Lippy's social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter, and boosting followers. I also helped out more generally with the marketing, advertising and events, and assisted in contacting local businesses to advertise in the print editions, as well as contributing to the organisation of the December launch party. PR Manager

Feb 2016 - Jul 2016
As the PR manager for Impact, I contacted several local businesses in order to build relationships in the local community in order to gain sponsorships, support and donations towards Impact's competitions or events. I also had a large involvement with student and public interaction, participating in all advertising events or promotional stalls. I additionally helped in selling tickets for events, such as Impact's Media Conference, the charity open mic night, and Impact socials, such as cinema screenings. Show less

Marketing Intern

Mar 2016 - Apr 2016
During the Easter of 2016, I secured an internship at The Dairy, a marketing communications and design agency. During my time at The Dairy I helped contribute to the management of their social media platforms, particularly Facebook, twitter, and Pinterest, using Hootsuite to schedule their delivery. My other primary role whilst here was to collect market research for several of the projects for our clients, for instance collecting detailed industry information, and assessing and evaluating the strategies of competitors. I also contacted many newspaper and magazine editors for a client, both via email and phone, in order to build relationships between them and collect valuable information for the project. Additionally, I assisted the launch of a new website by proofreading and checking the functions. On one occasion I further helped by using Photoshop to merge and edit photos for a blog post. I too wrote a blog post of my time here, which you can read below. Show less
