Hannah worked together with us on a predictive modeling project at Unilever. During the three months of working together, Hannah has showed her solid knowledge background in Mathematics, and she is very good at programming in VBA and Matlab. Hannah understands the way of doing research as a data scientist, from descriptive analysis, to data modelling, result interpretation, and insight. Hannah has showed great talent on logical thinking, and she can explain the concept and method clearly. Hannah had good deliverables to our project. Hannah has showed her great talent as a data scientist, and she also has a great potential to work as a math teacher or personal tutor.

Hannah spent three months at Unilever R&D working on her MSc project with us in the area of supply chain optimisation. During her work she demonstrated a solid background knowledge in OR, great VBA programming skills and an insightful approach to data analysis. She entered into the topic quickly, clearly understanding the business problem we were trying to address, and designed suitable methodologies for the project. The project was very challenging, as the business priorities changed mid-project. Yet Hannah was not fazed by this, but put in some extra effort to ensure the project results were delivered on time and in full. Hannah’s efforts were also recognized by her University (University of Southampton), who awarded her a prize for the excellence of her MSc project.
