      From December 2006-June 2008, I served as a night page designer and designed select pages, including wire news, local news, business, and obituary pages. I also assisted the night copy desk with editing copy. In June 2008, I transferred to a day position as a Zoned Editions designer where I designed the Three Rivers Edition and later the Tri-Lakes Edition. I also coordinated news briefs and calendar items for all three Zoned Editions. I reported and took photos as assigned.After an extended maternity leave, I returned to the Zoned Editions in December 2012 as the River Valley and Ozark Edition designer. In addition to pagination duties, I also reported on events in our coverage area and served as a backup photographer for all three of the Zoned Editions. Other duties included editing and proofreading copy, assisting the Promotions Department with designing marketing materials, building house ads for the editions and special sections, and coordinating all Zoned Editions special sections.

      I took newborn portraits as part of a rotating team of photographers for three local hospitals. I was responsible for processing and filling any orders I received from my photos sessions. Using mainly materials provided by the family in each hospital room, I would create a theme for each individual photo session. From July 2006-December 2006, I served as News Editor and as such managed a staff of five reporters, aided them in finding sources for their assignments, and thinking of creative photo opportunities. I designed the majority of pages as News Editor and assisted the Editor in Chief in conducting daily staff meetings and enforcing deadlines. Each year I was at the Paragould Daily Press, I coordinated all publicity for the community's largest festival, including creating the annual festival guide.
