  For about an hour per resident per meal time, I provide care, relationship, and service to an assisted living population. I work with residents in varying states of mental and physical health, with a variety of dietary needs; as a member of dining staff, it's my responsibility to ensure the resident is cared for and is getting the diet they need. I have stepped in on several occasions as a Lead server and taken charge of the team when a supervisor was unable to, as well as handled many heated situations with residents. I've learned exemplary patience, diligence, and lessons of compassion and grace in working with older adults.   As a member of kitchen staff, I would alternate between working in the restaurant front, the kitchen, or in janitorial tasks in the shop. As a crew member working in the restaurant front, I would take orders and payments via phone, the drive-thru window, or for walk-ins, as well as pass off catering information when needed. My job was to provide friendly, famililal service and build a rapport with frequent customers, which my open and genuine personality helped foster a love for. As a crew member working in the kitchen, I would quickly and efficiently fill out walk-in or pick-up orders and deliver them to the waiting customers. I learned how to finish my job well, at a quick pace, and to communicate important details to other crew members. As a crew member occasionally participating in janitorial duties, I learned to be versatile in my job description and to take the time to make the restaurant and property look welcoming to customers.   I worked to restock 8-12 fuel trucks for hay baling crews, which needed to be completed by a certain time every day for when the crews began their own work. I refilled large buckets of various fluids, refueled the trucks and restocked 30-40 30 lb bales of twine per truck. I learned how to work quickly and efficiently to accomplish alot of heavy lifting in a short period of time, and utilized available resources to ensure that I was providing the crews with the supplies they needed.
