    • Nursing Intern
      • Jan 2020 - Sep 2020

I completed a 9 month full-time nursing internship with St. James’s Hospital. This internship involved rotating between 5 different surgical and medical clinical settings. Each placement required clinical skill and knowledge development to succeed in competence based assessments in order to be awarded BSc. General Nursing. This coincided with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic which required me to adapt and showcase my resilience as the working environment changed completely.

I partook in the Erasmus+ Program which allowed me to travel and study abroad in Athens for 2 months. This was a huge learning experience for me socially, academically and culturally and was exceptionally rewarding. This program involved a rotation between a general medical ward and a neuro-ICU which was an incredibly rewarding experience. This exposure enabled me to expand my nursing knowledge and practice, while working with my Greek colleagues allowed to me develop my cultural connections and experiences. Show less
