By working in Unipec AM, I learned a lot about the daily operations in a Charterer/Trader company and had a comparative view about the shipping operations differences between Shipowners/Operators and Charterers/Traders.A thorough understanding on the crude oil trading strengthened my knowledge in the shipping industry. It is a really nice experience for me to have a broad view of shipping business. During my internship in Poten, I learned a lot about the market and the charter parties. I also learned a lot about the vessels general routes, ports, operations and demurrage. Enhanced with the knowledge from Poten, I have an overall view for the tanker business and learned about the differences between tanker and dry bulk shipping, which gives me a better understanding of the overall shipping industry. I started my career by working in Grand China Shipping. Firstly I was recruited into the commercial department and got training in both operation and commercial aspects. I really love dry-bulk shipping industry and make every part of my jobs perfectly. Resulting from my excellent work, I was absorbed by the chartering department, which is the core department of a dry-bulk shipping company. So I have a clear understanding about the dry-bulk market and rich experience in vessel operations like dealing with problems that may happen in voyages. Show less
