My master's thesis was “Application of peptide dendrimers as a delivery vector in gene therapy”. I have done it at Karolinska Institute, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Huddinge, Sweden, under the supervision of Professor Edvard SMITH. We intend to screen different lipophilic modifications of several peptide dendrimer sequences and test their ability to deliver single-stranded oligonucleotides. We investigated the resulting formulations physically and biologically to define any structure-activity relationship with the aim of achieving highly efficient transfection with minimal toxicity.
