Hamza worked for the MSD Utilities and Facilities Management team on the Carlow 2 Expansion Project and was heavily involved during the Electrical & Instrumentation Commissioning and Qualification stages of the project. Some of this systems that he worked on included the UPS, MV/ LV, Generators, Life Safety Systems, Solar PV, CCTV/ Access Control, Earthing and Distribution Boards to name a few. • Setup the site's electrical requirements • Build a site electrical maintenance schedule • Ensure all electrical work activities are carried out in accordance with Client standards and to the highest quality and safety standards. • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to resolve ongoing utilities system performance issues. • Troubleshoot/ investigate utility systems' issues and put plan in place to carry out optimisation projects • Reliability engineering for all site Utility systems e.g. Chilled Water, HVAC, Steam and Boiler systems, Water storage and distribution and the GMP Clean Systems. • Generate reliability reports for these systems using alarm and event data from Building Management and Manufacturing Control Systems. • Work with site personnel to optimise the current alarm and event management strategy for site utilities systems. • Implement optimisation projects on all systems and ensure systems are operating at optimum e.g. – Instrument replacement, calibration, range assessments etc. • Operate according to SOPs developed for site engineering and maintenance. • Take responsibility for all aspects of reliability projects on utilities. Ensure all reliability projects are executed in line with site Engineering standards and practices. • Management of audit action items generated from various site, corporate, cGMP and EHS audits. • Ensuring Engineering areas, in liaison with Contract Manager and Contract coordinator, facilities and equipment are kept in a clean, safe and serviceable condition, and general housekeeping high standards are maintained.
