Working closely within a Multi-Disciplinary-Team (MDT) of health professionals to provide quality healthcare to the Zithulele Village community and Mbashe district surrounds. Independently practiced as a qualified pharmacist and learnt a lot from the unique set-up of MDT at Zithulele. Work involved the full scope of a pharmacist, clinical ward rounds, as well as working as the principal pharmacist in the ARV clinic where I reviewed patient treatment as well as packed, counseled and dispensed.       Practical pharmacy training at an institutional pharmacy. Performing all the tasks of a pharmacist under the supervision of a tutor. Dealing with hospital inpatients and outpatients as well as ward stock, clinical ward rounds and stores work and administration. A rotation in the ARV and TB clinic was also completed in which experience was gained in these respective fields. Proficiency gained in using Trimed and RX Solutions softwares. A research project was also carried out to determine the side effect profiles of drugs used in the HIV and TB units. Show less
