I work as assistant professor of horticultural sciences at Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Fayoum University, Egypt. I am responsible for achieving These tasks: 1. Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as principles of horticultural production, fruit trees physiology, Biochemical changes in fruits, and postharvest quality management of fruits, fruit production in arid zones, viticulture, orchard management, postharvest biology of fruits, problems of pome fruit production in warm climates, ecophysiology of fruit trees “Advanced” , developed stress physiology and research and discussion. I participate in curricula development activities and share the work necessary to qualify our faculty to meet the education quality assurance and academic accreditation parameters. I take part in academic guiding issues and managing seminar discussions. 2. Research activities: Designing, supervising and executing the field experiments for my postdoctoral work and postgraduate students, writing thesis and research papers. Since my graduation till now, I am a research team work member containing many researchers in the field of managing drought stress on fruit crop production aiming at maximizing irrigation efficiency and improving fruit quality. 3. Social service consultancy and environment development: I am responsible for organizing symposiums to transfer the agricultural technology to the local farmers through the extension campaigns through my work as the head of the scientific board in the Egyptian agrarians syndicate an Collaboration with the international authorities and the NGOs working in the fields related to the agricultural and rural development. 4. Supervising the research laboratory at horticulture department and managing the fruit research farm. 5. Writing proposals for getting research funds. 6- Collaboration with international organizations such as USAID and COSPE for implementing their development programs 6. My main responsibilities are: • Planning and organizing the scientific work by managing and implementing the development trials program for selecting promising products. • Diagnosis of plant diseases and putting the integrated control programs and product brochures. • Designing production program for large scale customers. • Introducing new agricultural technologies by implementing pre-launch demo plots to prepare and insure the best new product market introduction. • Managing integrated pest management programs.
