At Adecom, I built an updated website and worked alongside local volunteers to establish content and document their work for grant applications. I also worked on grant research and application, as well as volunteered with nurses and counselors who attended to the women who came to the headquarters. For over 25 years, ADECom has been campaigning and advocating on the local and governmental levels for Women's equality in India. They offer free legal, medical, and psychological services for victims of violence, as well as many other empowering services focused on women. Also noteworthy is the work they do with the men and boys in the region to promote awareness of women's struggles. ADECom works to empower women through education and economic opportunities throughout the Tamil Nadu state, fighting violence against women- One empowered woman at a time. Show less
