As a psychology extern, I was trained to administer, score, and interpret multiple tests that related to the assessment of competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility. I also gained experience conducting diagnostic, competency, and criminal responsibility interviews and drafting comprehensive reports. With my supervisor, I also saw inmates as needed for crisis intervention and psychological observation when suicidal statements have been made.

I worked with breast cancer survivors who were treated with chemotherapy and may now be experiencing memory and attention problems. I assisted my Principal Investigator in evaluating the efficacy of a particular software program targeted at ameliorating these cognitive deficits. I conducted multiple neuropsychological batteries to assess pre and post intervention functioning.
