I conducted the research tasks for the UCSF “Assessing the Safety of Pregnancy In the CoRonavirus PandEmic” (ASPIRE) study, a nationwide cohort of 8,000 pregnant women and their babies. I developed and implemented multiple retention strategies, a medical record request process, and an organizational system for blood samples received from participants. I managed the UCSF ASPIRE RedCap database. I processed blood, follicular, and urine samples and performed various types of testing on patients in the Center for Reproductive Health. Show less

I analyzed the efficacy of prescription drugs and the effect of various cytokines in different inflammatory immune responses utilizing human tissue culture/RNA isolation and ELISA, qRT-PCR, or MSD assay methods Then the experimental data were analyzed with Microsoft excel and the appropriate statistical analyses. I developed protocol for a research opportunity to reform an in house experimental model. The in house model mimicked the Th2 inflammatory response associated with Atopic Dermatitis. I determined the role of major cytokines in the pathway. Lastly, I created a 30 minute presentation summarizing the results from my research opportunity, which I presented to the Research and Development department. Show less
