Hal Assael
I had the amazing pleasure of teaching Hal in a recent Marketing class at the University of La Verne. He assisted in making the class one of the best I have every taught. He had such wonderful insights to the subject matter and was able to communicate in such a way that he always kept the students in the class in awe. I know he will go far in his career and I wish him nothing but happiness and continued success.
Brian Bruce
As the Business Development Manager at Project Walk Corporate, I over see and provide support to our global expansion campaign to bring Project Walk Facilities worldwide. In working with Hal and the Be Perfect Foundation, it has been inspiring to see his visible tenacity, passion, and desire to bring forward the opportunity for individuals who have been affected by an (SCI) spinal cord injury to recover in the greater Los Angeles area. It has been a pleasure and a rewarding endeavor to partner with this young Executive as he fulfills his personal dreams by helping others achieve theirs, but more importantly their goals of being perfect.

Project Walk is a worldwide spinal cord injury recovery facility that's headquarters are based out of Carlsbad. My family and I partnered with the Claremont Club to open the first ever Project Walk franchise facility in January, 2013. It was a phenomenal opportunity to bring Project Walks method back to Claremont a place where we call home and most importantly to The Claremont Club. This is the first ever Project Walk franchise and we are excited to use and practice this modality of training up in the Inland Empire. This is such a huge and great resource for so many of the spinal cord injury victims in the surrounding areas as this type of modality of training is very hard to come by and very unique. Project Walk uses a method in which they practice what's called exercise-based therapy, where a spinal cord injured person does most of if not their entire workout out of their chair and using exercise to regain function. We are operating out of a 3200 ft.² facility now and look to expand upon our existing center at the Claremont Club here soon to give us close to 6000 ft.². We currently have 40 full-time clients in the program, eight full-time trainers, and are excited for our growth and what the future holds. I give you Project Walk Claremont. Show less

Foundation Founder
-
Nov 2007 - Present
I was injured in an automobile accident on July 26, 2007. Four months after I sustained a life-threatening and life-changing spinal cord injury, in a car accident, I started a nonprofit organization to help aid people with paralysis called The Be Perfect Foundation. The foundation, is a grassroots foundation that is deeply supported by the community of Claremont, has helped need in support hundreds of victims that are living with paralysis. In 10 years the foundation, we have had Seven Annual Fundraisers and a Eighth coming up here shortly in May, 2018. Each of these fundraisers has eclipsed the marks of 800 attendees and $250,000 raised at each one. We are expecting the Eighth Annual Fundraiser to be the biggest and best one yet. To date the foundation has raised more than $5 million mark in 10 years of existence, thus it's fair to say as a Founder and on behalf of my committee members we are very pleased and proud with how many people we've been able to help. However, it is not enough and we will continue to move forward and raise as much money as we can to help more people dealing with all types of paralysis. Being exposed to the spinal cord injury and paralysis world I've realized the shortcomings and downfalls that come along with the financial aspects of these ailments and how they affect families and in most cases causes them to go bankrupt. If monetary means don't tear apart a family or its support structures, it may in fact be the emotional toll that is given to the individuals and its supporters with the demons that come along with the injury. The foundation serves as a resource of hope more than anything else when trying to get people back up on their feet again and following their dreams of walking and regaining independence again. The foundation's mission statement is to provide direct financial and emotional aid to those living with paralysis. As a foundation we provide scholarships for people suffering from paralysis for their needs. Show less

Working as a broadcast intern for the Ontario Reign can mean a variety of different things. Working alongside Jesse Liebman who is the play-by-play broadcaster for the team, it entails helping him out with producing game notes for each game regardless if it's home or away, producing and creating spotting boards that are updated after each game, an ongoing tally and updating of stats to the highs and lows stat sheet for the season, an ongoing tally and updating of stats to the all-time records page for the team's existence. You will also assist on game days with helping create and edit game stories that are produced right after the game is completed. You will assist with creating commercials and producing voiceovers for commercials spots that are played during the broadcasts. During the midst of the game you will serve as a color commentator and during some timeouts you may operate the transition of commercials as they flow in and out of the commentary of the game. You will be responsible for keeping up to date on the in game stats and providing knowledgeable stats and analysis of current plays and events going on in the midst of a game. You may be asked to assist with the helping of the public relations department, which is headed up by Laura Tolbirt. Inventory Manager
-
Jun 2005 - Jul 2007
I started working the summers for my dad in June 2005 as his inventory manager of his business. My father is a owner of a general contracting company called Apex Imaging Services in which they run about 150+ employees year-round. When the company was initially created, it was called Apex Painting, since 2002 the company was renamed to Apex Imaging Services after my dad was accredited with his contracting license trying to expand his scope of work that he was able to do. Today painting only accounts for 15% of his sales annually. Much of the scope of work that they do is the re-imaging and remodeling side of the casual dining industry and even the petroleum industry. They also have several other big accounts with Home Depot, Starbucks, FedEx office, and Bridgestone/Firestone. As an inventory manager I would operate the warehouses and take several deliveries at the office throughout the day. I would also make deliveries to job sites and fly anywhere across the nation to other job sites to either survey or take material to sites. I gained many organizational skills through the process and matured very much as I took on much of the responsibility of a trial and error type atmosphere in the business world. I feel as if this opportunity and experience has benefited me a lot in the actual real-world as I realize I need to be accountable and assertive while making proper decisions and not making errors.
