Hailey is an outstanding professional and critical thinker. I’ve worked with Hailey over the last five years at Kittelson & Associates, Inc. In that time, I’ve been extremely impressed with Hailey’s ability to develop strong working relationships with coworkers and peers in other offices as she worked in a very small office. Hailey relies on her network of peers to deliver outstanding work. Hailey and I collaborated on several projects with one of the firms top repeat clients at the Florida Department of Transportation. Hailey has the ability to work on very technical tasks and break them down into easy steps for each teammate. She is highly organized and documents her steps so that trouble shooting is an ease by referring back to her documentation. Hailey has always been a high performer and diligently met and exceeded the performance targets for her staff level. In addition to the work she completed for our clients, Hailey devoted time to teach staff and served as a mentor for new staff. Hailey goes above and beyond to be an advocate for others and is passionate about seeing people grow professionally. With Hailey’s technical skills, her detail-oriented working style and passion for delivering outstanding work to clients, she is an absolute asset to any organization that requires her skills.

I had the pleasure of working with Hailey during the summer of 2016 when she served as a transportation planning intern at TriMet through the FSU/FDOT Transit Fellow program. Hailey's work was exceptional and truly left us with a very useful work product that we are hopeful will result in real, on-the-ground change. She is skilled in manipulating large datasets and using GIS, she is a talented writer, and she is great at doing on-the-ground observations of how transit and traffic interact, but the best part about working with Hailey is her positive attitude and work ethic. She is a talented planner (and at the time I am writing this, only halfway through grad school!). She will go far in the transportation planning world and will be a real asset to any organization she chooses to work with. I give Hailey my highest recommendation!

Conducted crash correlation using FDOT’s Crash Analysis Reporting System (CARS) and the University of Florida’s (UF) Signal Four Analytics. • Updated Florida’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Strategic Safety Plan, which is a five-year plan. Currently manage over 60 Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Coalition members by streamlining their communication tools in Microsoft Teams for their implementation plan, uploading documents, and communicating with each other to meet the goal of eliminating traffic crashes resulting in serious and fatal injuries to pedestrians and bicyclists, as well as improve overall safety, mobility, and accessibility of people walking and biking in Florida. • Managed FDOT District Five’s district-wide land use planning effort for the Central Florida Regional Planning Model 7 (CFRPM7) update to develop 2020, 2045, and the interim years’ socio-economic data for Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MetroPlan Orlando, Ocala Marion Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Space Coast TPO, and River to Sea TPO.
