  Sohuur Project is a youth volunteering event that has been operating for almost 6 years. It is a volunteering event that is held once a year which is during the holy month, Ramadhan. Sohuur (sahur food) distributed to those in need and homeless people around Kuala Lumpur. When I first started joining Sohuur Project (SP) in 2019, it was a very awkward moment for me as it has been out of my comfort zone. It was my very first time joining a volunteering event outside the campus. What can I say is I got impressed and touched by the initiative that has been done by the founder and the team itself. Hundreds of eyes were opened and realized that they are more people that need our help without us realizing it. The road that we've been distributing the food was familiar yet I did not once notice and had the initiative to help them. An additional of that, it is also scary to help since we do not know how would they react but surprisingly nothing should be scared of since we are working in a team. In 2020, I started to join as a community but unfortunately, the pandemic outbreak started to break and spreads to all the countries and continents and it was just the earlier stage of SP planning for 2020. But that does not stop us from planning and sending help to those in need. Helping those in need makes us happy and the best quote to conclude is "no one has become poor by giving" Annie Frank.
