  KITE IN MY DREAM “Great loves start with journeys...” People who are marginalized and incarcerated in the far corners of villages, towns and cities; bodies under the siege of an incurable disease... Children with weak and defeated muscles which cannot produce dystrophin, whose ill-fated lives are – out of their will - shortened due to the injustice of nature and obliviated by the life itself... And such children's mothers who accept the blame to be “the carriers of the disease” with a heart-wrenching and destitute manner and put up with it as part of their destinies. Dreams of young girls about love and passion who are to be carriers of the disease in the future... The attempt of touching the lives and pursuing the dreams of these people whose existences are ignored and forgotten under the justifying title called “disabled”... Travelling with them through the histories of the cities they have forgotten that they are living in... Watching the Gardens of Hevsel by climbing up the city walls of Amida in Diyarbakır, climbing up Hasankeyf in Batman as an homage and imagining to fly kites on the peak of Akhtamar Island, Van... And realizing our dream and flying kites in the end...
