I worked with Gökçe on a number of occasions whilst managing an EU Project in Ankara, Turkey from 2014-2016 and for several years thereafter whilst performing a Programme Manager role. I worked with numerous translators and interpreters during my time in Turkey, I can honestly say that Gökçe was one of, if not the most competent that I encountered. Her ability to provide simultaneous interpretation in pressurised situations and over a prolonged period, both in training and during meetings was exceptional. She has a very broad knowledge of the English Vocabulary and when working in specialist areas, where she has had limited prior experience, she works during her own time to develop an understanding of the vocabulary relating to that area, prior to deployment. Gökçe is very westernised in her outlook, has worked for numerous managers from the UK and the EU, all of whom, like me have valued her competence.
