Boston, Massachusetts, United States I am on the Vela team at Seniorlink, working on an application that gives care managers and caregivers a singular place to communicate, participate in learning modules, and answer questionnaires related to caring for elderly and disabled family at home, rather than sending them to permanent nursing care. I am a full stack engineer at Seniorlink. My favorite aspect is the backend, using Go to design and implement RESTful APIs. I have also acted as the developer lead on several teams acting as an expert on the implementation and development requirements while working with Product and Design. I have done work architecting services, most notably working as the primary architect on a backend service and API that aggregates several different data structures from other services into a single location to allow for complex querying across data types. I've used postgres to query databases, design and create tables. While my preference is for backend services, data querying and APIs, I've also done a lot of work on the frontend of our products which is primarily implemented using Ember, and while I have not designed or implemented the setup of our services on AWS I am familiar with using AWS to observe the health of running services and databases, as well as a couple of other utility features. To a lesser extent I have spent some time with our application that utilizes Ruby on Rails, as well as others that use Python. I have been with Vela at Seniorlink long enough that I was part of the team that first added an administrative service to handle organizational data, users, and permissions. I was one of the primary developers who coded our integration with the oauth spec, implementing it from backend to frontend, among other projects over the years. Show less
