Aug 2021 - Feb 2023
3 years experience with geriatrics. Engaging with individuals with any type of debilitating disease or predicament in a respectful manner where they feel they could contribute to an activity. Gearing activities to a slim budget. Focusing on what the resident interests are. Using basic sign language for communicating with non-verbal or those that have difficulty speaking clearly. Creating environments where individuals can flourish & connect with others. Clinical assessments for activities interests & charting behaviors/interventions. Working well as a team or on my own depending on staffing availability & timing of events hosted. Collaboration with higher functioning "contributors" within the community to provide hands on involvement with their friends/neighbors that are declining mentally or physically. Arranging support groups for those with chronic illnesses & pain. Moral booster to residents & staff. I'm available to be of service to your community any day of the week including holidays. I find great joy working with our elderly community. The highlight of my days are when I hear them laugh. Show less

I was 16 when I shorten my first skirt. By age of 25 decided to be a fashion designer. Work trade with the Redoux Parlor, under Ms Laroux's guildance for almost a year. Youngest taught was 10. They enjoyed making silly animals and *driving* the machine. (a cute game I play to get beginners to practice their straight lines. ) as motto goes, *if you have a drawing of what you want, depending on budget, I can make it, alter it and beyond. With over 100 utility belts & countless costumes produced. if you would like to see more - . . . Show less
