COMMODITY MANAGER (2014 - Present) SENIOR BUYER /PLANNER (2006 - 2014) BUYER / PLANNER (2003 - 2006) PURCHASING ASSISTANT (2001 - 2003) RECEPTIONIST (2000 - 2001) -Over 14 years planning and procurement experience in a production planning, material control, and manufacturing operations environment. -Implemented a monthly inventory aging analysis review, identifying slow moving materials and devised an action plan to move these materials, improving our inventory turns from 1.8 turns in March 2014 to 3.5 turns in April 2015 -Devised a dynamic raw material planning tool, outside of the ERP system, due to problems within our ERP MRP planning functionality. This planning tool reduced our stock-out occurances by over 99% and has become an effective tool in the material planning process. -Reduced BOM raw material cost, by 20%, within 12 months, through improved sourcing, negotiations, and communications with suppliers -Reduced waste in purchasing/planning by implementing Vendor Maintained Inventory (VMI) programs for high volume, off the shelf items such as hardware and packaging. -Improved the functionality of the ERP system by expanding the usability of available applications such as developing unique cycle count processes for items requiring extra attention, developing a process to incorporate the Approved Supplier List into the ERP system, and assisting in the development of the RMA process workflow. -Contributed to the selection, initial training, and deployment of our new ERP/MRP software solution. -Managed inventory accuracy, analyzed problems, and implemented solutions. -Managed and controlled prototype materials upon release to the beta lifecycle phase -Created and maintained ISO documentation -Developed and maintained multiple reporting tools, for capturing current inventory status and material demand. -Developed and implemented Supplier Evaluation process.
