To whom it may concern, As the Chief of Engineering at SMARTECH, I supervised Guy for his first four years at SMARTECH. Guy's fast learning curve was unlike any I have seen before. Soon enough, Guy demonstrated the mastery of his core role and the ability to take on new projects and execute them in the best way. These projects were complex and critical to the company's growth. Guy was involved in several critical positions in the company and excelled in each: 1. He was the lead mechanical engineer in SMARTECH, having immense responsibility and impact on our products. 2. As a senior engineer, he demonstrated extraordinary leadership to the design teams and mentored many junior team members. 3. As a PDM administrator, he independently led the foundation and implementation of the PDM system. 4. As part of the project team, he successfully led international projects throughout the entire process, including designing, manufacturing, implantation at the customer site, and customer support troubleshooting. One of Guy's remarkable traits is his ability to think a few steps ahead and try to understand what the reason is, what the cause is, and what can be done to prevent the problem. For example, we faced some problems with the pumps in our systems (these parts are "the heart of the machine"). Guy investigated the failure cause, developed a new pump housing for these pumps, and upgraded the inner parts to prevent them from failing and extending their "life" cycle. He has proven to be a true owner of his work and a highly reliable person. With time, Guy became the focal point in all the company's projects. Everyone knew that he was the one to consult. Guy is an exceptional individual. He is a great team player, and I enjoyed working with him. I only wish he would have stayed with us longer. However, I wish him good luck in his next role and good luck with the relocation to Boston. Sincerely, Shai Yosifon Chief of Engineering
