I enjoy providing opinions and views after many decades working across the Public and Private Sector and talking to practitioners, apprentices, senior business leaders from a wide variety of sectors and enjoy speaking on panels at events, virtual or otherwise, discussing everything from Risk, Security and Business Resilience incorporating experience, life lessons learnt leadership and life through the lens of someone who has collated thousands of hours of practical experience and faced many demanding challenges. I am passionate about spreading the message of my career, the many incredibly gifted and talented people whom I have met and the incredible life support which I have been afforded.

It is with great pleasure that I take over as Chair, CSSC Eastern Region and look forward to carrying on the fine work that has been carried out over the last four years, and to support the fine endeavours of the national UK Cross sector Safety and Security Communications. At the end of my six year tenure on the Security Institute Board of Directors in April 2018, I would like to to record my appreciation to all of those fine members of the Institute and trust you will work with my successors in implementing the Strategy Paper I delivered prior to my departure.After a number of years leading the Membership Portfolio and especially the honour of Chairing the Security Institute Validation Board, I have been offered and accepted a new Board Dorector position at The Security Institute as Strategy Director. I would like to thank all those former and current VB and VBWG serving members and Institute staff for their support and immense dedication during my stewardship.I leave with a great deal of sadness but secure in the knowledge that my successor will inherit a fantastic Board which has incomparable qualities and tremendous loyalty.I look forward to the considerable challenges of determining a strategy for the Institite , listening to Members views and to take it forward for the benefit of The Membership and Staff.
