A full stack web development course running for 12 weeks, focusing on JavaScript, jQuery, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, building RESTful web applications. All projects can be found on my GitHub (https://github.com/1Guv). Project 1 - Game Application built using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery A highly addictive guess the animal conundrum word game set against the timer. Choose your difficulty level and click on play. The game is fully responsive and can be played on your mobile. https://github.com/1Guv/project-1 Project 2 - RESTful Express Application, built using MongoDB, Node.js, JavaScript, jQuery, Gulp & SASS This website takes the car rental theme but with an added twist. The idea is that supercar owners in London may want to drive other supercars. This evolved into a supercar swap club, where paid members would be able to contact each other and arrange to swap supercars in London. Project 3 - MEAN Stack Application, also using external APIs (team project) This idea encompasses the current meetup phenomenon where it allows two individuals to meet and share a skill, eg if I wanted to improve my French I could use this app to find a native French speaker and offer to share a skill in return. My roles included implementing the API's via the backend due to CORS issues using the Google Maps and Google Places. I also did the styling using SASS and Bootstrap Frameworks. Project 4 - Web Application, built using PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails (backend), Angular and Express This app allows my customers to add their personal number plates to an online auction. Potential buyers can then put a bid on a plate, before the timer runs out. You can view the auction without registering, but you can only bid on a plate once you have registered. Show less
