As a data engineer, I was responsible for securely transferring data from one location to another. Most often, it involved moving data from on-premises location to data lakes in the cloud. I also fulfilled a dual role as a data scientist. After the data was properly loaded and stored, I was responsible for extracting business value from the data. This included using machine learning models to create predictions, or data visualization tools to produce these insights.
