Gustavo mentored me for a few years now! He inspired me with his entrepreneurial mindset. He worked with me on some entrepreneurial projects and I appreciated his insights and expertise. He is also an expert in negotiation and leadership and I benefit a lot from his mentorship. I will continue to work with him to achieve my passion in my career path. I want to thank him forever for the wisdom and vision he taught me! I also learned a lot about MIT and their management style.

I met Gustavo when he was coordinating the AI-Jumpstart program funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I was impressed by his ability to not only explain the program and each project, but by his bringing together all the participants towards concrete goals allowing the successful launch of 20 projects that formed the first ever cohort of its kind. In particular, his ability to understand the needs of the companies, as well as those of the many Artificial Intelligence faculty experts from Northeastern, Boston University, and Tufts University. Gustavo’s background, advising in matters of innovation-centric businesses and start-ups, as well as his technical understanding of science and engineering domains, were evident during the meetings I had under the program. I hope to continue connecting with Gustavo and strongly recommend him to anyone looking for his talents.

I’ve known Gustavo since his days at Passport Systems. Gustavo is an experienced international business development professional who has worked and lived in different parts of the world. His areas of expertise are in the commercial markets as well as DoD and DHS, working with diverse technologies and applications of non-intrusive inspection and artificial intelligence. Most recently, I had the pleasure of interacting with him during his time at ALERT, a DHS Security Center of Excellence at Northeastern University. There, he promoted the Center’s research and interacted with the security industry. He kept industry parties informed of new developments or innovations in various security and detection fields. I highly recommend Gustavo for his industry knowledge, professionalism and relationship building skills.
