  Research and Development of an industrial wastewater treatment plant. Engineer responsible for the process and hydraulic design of a pilot scale plant. Target effluent was vinasse, a by-product from sugar and ethanol production. Treatment process composed by preliminary treatment, conventional physicochemical process (coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, sand and activated carbon filters). The plant also included an advanced treatment step using membrane filtration and demineralization. The pilot plant was constructed and commissioned, several trials were performed. During the product development process, various technologies were investigated, site visits and effluent sampling were undertaken, laboratory experiments and analysis were performed followed by reports preparation.
