  As a delegate for the accounting team representing the University of Manitoba, me and two other delegates were assigned a business case in which we acted as a consulting firm for a local Saskatoon business that wanted to implement specific changes in the corporation, such as a short-term revenue increase and a proper analysis of long-term risks. Me, along with my other two teammates presented our solution to CPA approved judges and after a long weekend of evaluation and consideration, we were awarded 1st place as the judges approved our solutions, and believed it was the best for the business given the information we were given! In addition, through this experience, i was able to utilize and improve necessary soft skills, such as presentation, communication, teamwork and critical thinking! Show less
