I had the remarkable opportunity of running my own business in Brazil which was a game changer in my life. In 2013, my business partner and I were opening a sports retail shop in Rio de Janeiro. The core business was selling health supplements and sport-related products in a neighbourhood that lacked this type of supply. In the first year, we created e-commerce using social media, which was the beginning of growth and expansion. We sponsored events at local gyms and sports places aiming to increase the visibility of our shop and, of course, future sales.
