As a Studio Manager, Gustav cares deeply about the team. He's also an accomplished game designer with a strong understanding of all the departments, which, along with his close industry contacts across the world, gives him a powerful advantage at studio management. Gustav believes strongly in letting his team grow and evolve. As an example of this, although my background in professional game development was in code, Gustav not only gave me many opportunities to take on more Design responsibilities, he helped and guided me to become better at the role.

I have been extremely impressed with Gustav’s ability to lead our team and to efficiently make difficult design decisions so easily. Gustav is a natural leader who creates a fun and friendly atmosphere around him. His knowledge and passion for game design is instantly apparent. He is highly professional and someone you can count on to think things through and make the right call. It’s been a pleasure working with Gustav.

Founded an independent studio in New Zealand to make our own games. Always an entrepreneur I seized the opportunity to form a studio with a lead programmer I worked with at Gameloft. We first developed a small mobile game as a studio founding exercise and then went on to develop Goblins of Elderstone for PC in Unreal Engine 4. The project has significantly advanced all my skills required for an indie game and studio; from management to marketing and art to level design. Every day is a wonderful new challenge. Show less
