• Collaborated and corresponded with the National Nuclear Agency of Indonesia (BATAN) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in a project to produce waste derived wood polymer composites and compatibilizer agents from recycled polyethylene through deliberate surface oxidation via. radiolysis. •Operated a Mixer Torque Rheometer (RTM) along with hot press machine and fabricated wood polymer composites of various filler-to-matrix-to-compatibilizer ratios to determine the ideal composition for optimum tensile properties. • Evaluated and analyzed the degree of hydrophilicity and radicalization of treated and untreated recycled polyethylene samples through Sessile Drop, Electron Spin Resonance (ESR), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) characterization methods. • Evaluated interfacial adhesion between the filler and matrix of wood polymer composites through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), tensile testing (ASTM 1882-L), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). • Assisted in the fabrication of a novel chamber to enhance the radicalization and surface modification of recycled waste polyethylene through deliberate surface oxidation via. radiolysis to produce compatibilizer agents used in wood polymer composites.
