• BBC Worldwide (London, UK) – Commercial arm of the BBC, is a fast-growing media and entertainment company. Maximises profits on behalf of the BBC by creating, acquiring, developing and exploiting media content and media brands around the world. Successfully delivered technology change projects, managing and creating proactive delivery oriented project teams, within a matrix reporting structure. This included delivery of multiple system integration projects and network connectivity environments, for transfer of large digital files into a Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution. Worked in an ‘agile delivery’ environment which ensured that the highest priority areas for the business are met first. This enabled operational results to be seen and evaluated quickly. Worked directly with BBCW business groups who were the customers of the systems and technology. Created clear ‘user stories’ (user requirements) that focus on actual needs. These were mapped into technical requirements and delivered in short 'sprints'. Presented to and worked with board level management. Reported weekly on programme/project deliverables including progress against milestones, budget, resources, risks & issues and took action to mitigate any threats to success. Show less



• ONDEMAND GROUP LIMITED (London, UK) – A world-leading provider of complete management for video-on-demand services covering content acquisition, software services and up to streaming video delivery (Media Services arm of SeaChange International). Responsible for leading all software integration programmes across multiple regions and services. Projects include the world’s first three-screen service enabling video on TV, Web and Mobile (Virgin Media Player). Project Managed and coordinated cross-functional teams. Introduced the Agile/Scrum methodology that resulted in efficient monthly release cycles delivered on time and to the agreed budget. Managed and coordinated remote teams across Poland and London (resource pool of 15 heads). Took ownership and implemented a product roadmap including features and enhancements focused on video-on-demand package management, encoding and delivery. This led to time and cost savings in software development and increased operational output. Achieved multiple project outputs by managing other Scrum masters using a 'scrum of scrum' approach. This enabled projects to be concurrently run, which led to the continuation for release cycles and delivery of multiple screen video on demand services. Managed new media process optimisation that is forecasted to increase efficiency. This was achieved by implementing an internal workflow solution, which integrated the internal CMS with the Agility video encoding platform and the Cerify QA system. Show less
