Gurneet worked for Motorola initially as an intern and then as a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Electronics Components sourcing. She was detail oriented, tenacious and had excellent project management skills which was evident throughout her tenure. She took on complex projects, broke it down into specific deliverables and managed them. Her people personality helped her gain trust of internal and external stakeholders easily. Her ability to quantify the financial impacts of problems helped in gaining traction for those projects over competing priorities. She was known as a hard negotiator among the supply base of Motorola.

I first got to know Gurneet as a student in my Supply Chain Management class at Rutgers University. Gurneet was always an active participant , asking stimulating question, participating in class discussion and working welling in small group teams. Gurneet received an A in this class. She was then a team member in another very interesting class called Industry Client Projects, where students work with a company on a specific project that the company wants solved. Gurneet was the team leader and developed excellent analytic skills necessary to solve the inventory and forecasting problem, ultimately recommending a solution that would save the company several million dollars. She also showed her ability to clearly communicate , not only with her fellow students, but with senior industry executives both verbally and written. It was a pleasure to have Gurneet in this class for which I was the instructor.
