To call Gill simply a general manager/boss would be an injustice. From the time we first met in person, he became a mentor, a confidant and most importantly a friend. Gill is one of those rare general managers who also naturally serve as an inspiring mentor for the department. Through we’ve only worked together for 2 years, the level of comfort allowed real interaction that propelled my growth both professionally and personally. Further, Gill exhibits strong interpersonal skills and a unique capacity for empathy. He kept his doors open to welcome and assist his employees with the utmost care and concern. These qualities most notably translate in his ability to motivate a team to care about their projects and be invested in the project’s success. Gill is the go-to person for conflict resolution and problem solving; when fights break out in boardroom meetings, he steps in to diffuse tension and induce compromising. Though he’s never one to draw attention to himself, Gill’s positive attitude and the respect others feel toward him are palpable. He has built a reputation as someone who has a broad vision and this vision is what will take a company places. Gill earns my highest recommendation and any employee would be lucky to have Gill as a their leader/mentor.
