Customer Support / Service Manager
-
Mar 2014 - Present
Working and managing the busiest Mercedes Benz commercial dealership in the country has been an exciting move in my career. Learning and managing a new field has really helped me evolve my thoughts of different types of customers, industries and pressures. Invoicing targets of 4000+ hour’s monthly means that the intensity of the role is constant and has to be kept in control at all times. My customer service has taken a level of knowledge within this role, as this is completely different to my previous experiences but with the same desired outcome. My after sales team consists of 11 staff, all with varied job roles and split tasks, all of which however fundamentally contributes to the success of an extremely busy dealership. I also manage the 24hr service team who have 4 onsite technicians and 4 on the road. The challenge of managing people that are not always visible has also given me a fantastic challenge which I have grasped and evolved into my personal way. I have to keep in control of them bringing back job cards, write up, and clock cards daily. Ensuring daily yard lists are done and VOR lists are compiled has also kept this busy site in control of vehicles, and prioritising all Blue chip customers and minimising down time. New systems that I have become accustomed to are Kerridge, CRM, SABA & compass@dealer. Other systems that I have monitored and controlled are Truckfile, EVA, 1Link, Geopost Postal. My overall experiences to date and the speed in which I have developed and progressed in my role has really enabled me to get the most out of my role, and the most out of my team. My structure and guidance has been key to my time to date with Rygor Mercedes Benz, my previous extensive knowledge within hospitality and customer service has come through and really stood out, with “my ways” being implemented within several of the Rygor sites. Meetings & Events Manager
-
Jun 2010 - Nov 2013
From when I took on the role of Meetings and Events Manager, I introduced a number of new aspects into the business, from weekly F&B meetings to altering the split between packages.Working in an Award Winning Hotel means that the pressure and eyes have always been on a department that contributes heavily to the overall goal, target, budgets of the hotel and company.I feel that working closely with my operations team has given me a new depth of responsibility and has enhanced me to listen to new ideas and views of the operations team. My knowledge along with IHG brand standards has set me up to be a very dynamic organised leader who is always looking for more ways to view and develop each piece of business. My team consists of numerous different nationalities working together which was a change implemented by myself, as I looked into the role in more depth. This is great when dealing with different ethnic groups, and gives my team the chance to shine, and also take more responsibility within their role.Working within the hospitality industry for over 12 years, can be sometimes difficult when it comes to change, but being a young and passionate leader for a team who is willing to learn enables me to try new ventures along with obtaining great results and delivering an extremely high standard of service.
