Co-founded Better Bhalswa, a public initiative towards improving Delhi starting from its worst. Work involves on-ground public participatory research and planning. Better Bhalswa is activism towards solutions for a better city. Key milestones and achievements: 1. Received the Observation and Action Network 2020 Grants Program for a modular community shelter designed around existing infrastructure. 2. National winners for C40 Students Reinventing Cities Competition for proposed rehabilitation at Bhalswa and neighbourhood insert as a 15 minute city. 3. Awarded the ACCESS Fellowship by WRI India as part of the aaco initiative. The 3 month fellowship focused on on-ground documentation and narrative building for Sabka Bhalswa - a campaign for a concious city. 4. Shortlisted for the Architecture in Development 2021 Global Challenge for proposed community-led place based solutions for signed open spaces and community facilities. 5. Awarded the Water Seeker's Fellowship by Living Waters Museum and SPRF. Worked on Wasted Heritage - a visual narrative and policy brief exploring Bhalswa through a historical and urban planning lens. 6. Developed Worth in Waste - a campaign to pilot decentralized waste management solutions at Bhalswa as a means to turnaround the wasted landscape. Onboarded by the Deputy Commisioner, City S.P. Zone, North Delhi Municipal Corporation for the development of Street Vending Plans for the zone starting with Chandni Chowk. Devised holistic strategy towards preparing street vending plans based on the Street Vendors Act, 2014. Urban study and spatial analysis for Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, and other significant wards in the North DMC. Preparation of a toolkit for street vending based on street survey, stakeholder engagement, and expert consultations as a consultant to the established 30 member town vending committee. Prepared and delivered presentations to multiple stakeholders including street vendors, community based organizations, ngos, urban planning experts, and policy makers. Delivered Presentation to the Chief Secretary of Delhi on the Salient Features of the Proposed Street Vending Plan for Chandni Chowk. Show less

As a Living Waters Fellow, worked on a Policy Brief and Case Study for SPRF. The published brief - Wasted Heritage - takes a deep dive into the history of Bhalswa through cartography, oral histories, and planning defaults in the Delhi Masterplans. This is supplemented with a case study of the Bhalswa Horseshoe lake and presents insights on its current deteriorating state. As activism towards a solution, the brief brings forth a five point proposition towards a better Bhalswa, working with waste as a means to remediate the wasted landscape. With Living Waters Museum, developed a visual narrative in collaboration with Ipsita Choudhary. Here, visualising Bhalswa's complex history of neglect and marginalization is a cohesive narrative and call for bottoms up planning. Show less
