Following my 10-week internship, I have accepted a part-time offer as Program Manager at InterVol. InterVol is a wonderful non-profit organization that focuses on medical sustainability and humanitarian aid. We collect unused medical supplies and equipment and connect them with communities that need it most. This saves lives globally and saves the environment from needless waste. Having a shared vision, I anticipate great accomplishments in the near future with my new role. I am really excited to see the organization grow and expand. Show less

As an Urban Fellow at the University of Rochester, I have had the privilege of attending various seminars,(Urban Education Seminar, Decarceration Seminar, Community Engagement, and Empowerment Seminar, Urban Planning Seminar, Public Health, and the Public Realm, Food Systems and Urban Agriculture Seminar, Redlining Seminar, Understanding Leadership Medallion Workshop, Public Health Seminar), meetings, trips and more. It has been a privilege to learn more about Rochester's history and despite being rich with local non-profit organizations it has many urban issues. Learning so much was a call to action and I hope to continue contributing to positive change. Show less

    • Americorp VISTA Summer Associate
      • May 2023 - Jul 2023

As an AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate, I was matched with the local non-profit organization: InterVol. InterVol has a medical sustainability approach where they repurpose unused medical supplies, saving lives locally, nationally, and internationally and saving the environment of needless waste. They have a similar approach to school supplies encouraging students to repurpose underused school supplies. During my 10 weeks at InterVol, I developed various storyboards and presentations, helped prepare for the golf fundraiser, organized banner projects with the Education Success Foundation and Encompass' summer camps, sent in newsletters for Unity hospital, helped coordinate more relationships with local non-profits and expand their reach, as well as training volunteers, sorting medical supplies and brainstorming various more ideas. It has been a pleasure to serve at InterVol Rochester. Show less
