Sep 2013 - Feb 2014
Software engineer at the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles laboratory at the Ecole National d’Aviation Civile (ENAC). As a part of the Master in Aerospace Science and Technology, MAST, studied at the Universitat Politècnica of Catalunya (UPC), this internship at ENAC provides a unique opportunity in order to improve the knowledge in UAV technology: software and hardware constraints, solution compromises, technological issues and ultimate advances in KnowHow. The internship is also the opportunity to collaborate in the organization of the International Micro Air Vehicle (IMAV) Conference and Competition. PROJECTS: + Design of an autopilot communications segment based on open-source software and hardware: Skills: Programming the new message management system > Design and development of quality tests > Platform Integration. Task: Redesign of the existing Paparazzi message management system. Paparazzi is an open-source autopilot, what solves at same time both cost and flexibility issues, and is being developed and used at ENAC, a French civil aeronautics academy. At the programming level, this work is done in C and Ocaml and adds new telemetry data. At the design level it includes an evolution of the messages design. Show less
