He is dually qualified as a Solicitor (England and Wales) and a barrister ("Avocat") in France. He is specialised in project acquisition, development and finance, as well as energy, mining and petroleum law.Guillaume has gained more than 25 years of experience in international law firms in Africa (South Africa, Mauritius), Europe (London and Paris) and the Asia-Pacific (Sydney and Perth, plus a secondment in Shanghai (China)).He has advised lenders, sponsors and developers on the acquisition, financing and development of energy, petroleum and mining projects across many developing countries, including common-law jurisdictions (Ghana, Gambia, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania) and civil law jurisdictions (such as Latin America (Brazil, French Guiana), Europe (France and Luxemburg), Africa (Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, DRC, Burundi, Djibouti, Madagascar, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Angola and Mozambique) and the Australasian area (China, Mongolia, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, The Philippines, The Solomon Islands and New Caledonia)).His project acquisition, development and finance experience includes: acquisition due diligence investigations in respect of project companies or project assets; project structuring; project-related regulatory and legislative advice; project sponsorship, ownership and financing; project finance; project development and procurement.He has also acted as co-counsel in relation to international arbitration disputes related to mining companies and projects in Africa (Mali and Mozambique) and which were subject to different laws and languages (English, French and Portuguese).
