As a Postdoctoral research scientist, I am using cutting-edge imaging techniques (from confocal, super-resolution to EM; from live-cell to fixed samples) to answer fundamental biological questions with a fouse on subcellular structures (ER, mitochondria and ER-mitochondria contacts). Currently, we are working on the nanodomain organization of the ER tubules and ER-mitochondria contacts, using different types of super-resolution imaging techniques. For the UBC imaging community, I am on the organizing committee of UBC FOSI seminars to bring trainees and scientists in the field of microscopy to share skills, exchange, and inspire ideas. I also organize workshops and training sessions to share image collection and analysis skills at LSI Imaging Facilty. Show less
